Love & Share Children Center (Project Compassion)

LSCC (Love & Share Children Center) is an Assemblies of God church based in Minglanilla Cebu, Philippines. Headed by Pastor Edgar Bacus, LSCC aims to spread God's Word and show the people of Minglanilla that God still cares for them.

Project Compassion, an international organization whose main purpose is to release children from poverty in Jesus' name, partnered with LSCC. Lead by Mercy Bacus as the project director, LSCC/Project Compassion now handles approximately five hundred plus (500+) children.

Handling this number of children has its problems. The paperwork is enormous and data handling, filing and collation becomes very tedious. This kind of load overburdens the staff of LSCC and as a result, most of the time spent are geared toward paperwork.

LSCC and Project Compassion acknowledges this problem so they came to Islandcoders Incorporated for help with regards to their system. Islandcoders Incorporated did an SAD (Systems Analysis and Design) and concurred that most of their problems can be resolved by employing a full automated system.

Islandcoders Incorporated's main purpose in this endeavor is for the staff of LSCC to spend more time with the children and less time doing paperwork. A Linux server was deployed that powers all the computers of LSCC's office. This server is dedicated to filing, handling and collating all the data of Project Compassion. This has proven to be very helpful. Report generation, which usually takes around 1 week to complete is now generated instantly. File searching is within a click of a button. In short, time spent has become time saved.
